A big thank-you to super mom, blogger and guest contributor this month Christine Bruckmann from Just Another Edmonton Mommy for partnering with us and for sharing her top playgrounds to explore with the kids this summer.

In Edmonton, there are so many great playgrounds for kids to explore. Whether it’s searching for new ones or going back to old favourites, they each have their own uniqueness. When I was asked by Holland and Associates to write about 10 of the best playgrounds in Edmonton, my park loving kids (and I) were definitely up for the challenge!

Castle Downs

A favourite for many families, you can find both a playground and spray park here. There is also plenty of green space, picnic tables, as well as bathrooms close by. Don’t forget to bring some money with you during those hot days because an ice cream truck is often found in the parking lot.

Find it at 11520 153 Ave NW

Rapperswill Playground

If you’ve got a child that loves themed playgrounds, this one has a castle, complete with a tall slide at the top. It might be small but it’s still tons of fun and there’s a hill right behind it that kids love to run up and down!

Find it between 122 street & 121 street on Rapperswill Drive

Rundle Park Playground

The woods themed playground will spark your kid's imagination and has plenty of space to run and climb. One of our favourite things about this playground is the area with various musical instruments. There are also several walking trails located close by as well as an area where you can rent paddle boats.

Find it at 2909 113 Ave NW

Aurora Toddler Park

This is one of our favourite toddler-friendly playgrounds in Edmonton. With a soft ground that’s perfect for little ones that love to explore the play structures are perfect to climb and crawl around on.

Find it at 1489 Watt Dr. SW

Lendrum Playground

Let the kids buzz around at this bee themed playground located in the Lendrum community. If it’s hot outside pack your towels and swimsuits and cool off at the spray park.

Find it at 11335 57 Ave NW

Jackie Parker

We love spending the afternoon at this playground because it has everything we need. A large spread out playground with tons of fun for all ages, a great spray park, and bathrooms. There are also picnic sites to rent right by the playground, including 2 fire rings!

Find it at 4540 50 Street

Argyll Park

If you have kids that love wildlife, this is the playground for them. One of the coolest features is the soundboard that plays various wildlife calls. There is also tons of places to climb and slide and the small sheltered area for little kids to sit and play is also a great touch.

Find it at 6750-88 Street

Webber Greens Park

All three of my kids loved the Merry Go Round at this playground but there is also so much more to explore! This playground is perfect for kids of all ages with a play structure geared towards younger children, a larger play structure for kids looking for a bit more to explore, and even a small sand pit area to make some sandcastles!

Find it at 1180 Webber Greens Drive NW

Secord Park

This ship inspired playground is perfect for those little ones with big imaginations. Located right on the corner it’s the perfect place for kids that love to climb.

Find it at 169-333 Secord Blvd NW

Meadowlark Playground

There are a few playgrounds in Edmonton that have zip lines, and this is one of them. With 2 zip lines to choose from the platforms are low to the ground making it easy to use for kids of all ages. There is also an expression swing which allows you to swing with your little ones at the same time.

Find it at 15961-92 Ave
